On With the Festivities: 3 December Events in Vancouver to Nurture The Holiday Spirit

Vancouver can certainly be known to transform into the mini North Pole during the holidays. With mini villages, circuses and, street festivals, it’s a complete wonder how any work gets done in this city. The fun doesn’t stop there, there are a bunch of other fun holiday things to do, too!

A Christmas Carol: Vancouver Edition

Watch this holiday classic come to life on stage. Dickens’ masterpiece is reimagined into the suburbs of East Vancouver and the Downtown Eastside. Come watch the parallels of the past and present as the two stories intertwine and provide perspective on modern-day issues of Vancouver locals. Bah Humbug! has various times and dates starting December 6, and having a final show on December 22, all at the Simon Fraser University Goldcorp Centre for the Arts. Tickets range from $25 to $40.

Local Art: Gifts from the Heart

Make It Vancouver! returns to the Pacific National Exhibition from Wednesday, December 12, 2018, to Sunday, December 16, 2018. Time varies on each day. Early Bird Tickets are currently on sale for $4 and will jump up to $8 after Early Bird ends. Visiting this festival is a great way to support the hand-making craft!

Stay Warm: Stay Active

Finding the motivation to stay active and moving in the cold months is hard. Running Tours Inc. makes it easy with hosting Vancouver’s 4th Annual Big Elf Run. Choose between a 1KM, 5KM, or 10KM run around Vancouver’s historic Stanley Park. This run happens on Saturday, December 15, 2018, for a full day starting at 11:30 AM and concluding around 4:30 PM. Registration ranges from $5 to $30.
